We consider selected concerns such as uneven texture, congestion and pigmentation. New or changing lesions need medical assessment before cosmetic treatment. A peel is not suitable for every skin condition.
Suitability and recovery
Superficial and more intensive peels have different recovery needs. Redness, stinging and peeling may occur. Risks can include burns, infection, prolonged redness, changes in skin colour and scarring. We explain the risks relevant to the proposed peel and your skin.

We review medicines, previous procedures and skincare, then discuss preparation, aftercare, sun protection, alternatives and costs. Results and healing time vary. A course of treatment is considered only when appropriate.
